Teresa Larsen (Owner of Active Balanced Lifestyles LLC)
Teresa is certified by the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) as a personal trainer and also by the AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association) as an Aqua Instructor. In addition, she has trained in workshops that allow her to lead classes in the Silver Sneakers format. Her specialties following her Exercise Science college work include senior, aqua and individual fitness.

Senior Fitness - Silver Sneakers Classic – Have fun moving to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand held weights, tubing and a Silver Sneakers ball are used for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. Portions of each class will be devoted to balance and stability. This class is suitable for beginning and intermediate skill levels. Participants do not need to be covered by a Silver Sneakers program to enjoy this class!
Senior Yoga – Silver Sneakers – Move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered as you perform postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level. Come find the center of your being! Participants do not need to be covered by a Silver Sneakers program to enjoy this class!
Aqua Exercise – Join us for turbulent waters! This fast-paced cardio/strength class will have you moving all over the pool. Suitable for ALL levels! Timed sequences allow members to move at their own pace. Get into the fun with a varied group of participants. Classes use water buoys, noodles and kick boards. Swimming is not required as all moves can be modified! Water shoes are encouraged for safety.
Aqua Arthritis – Enjoy moving again as the shallow water soothes your joints. This no impact class is fun for everyone! Smooth walking moves strengthen your balance and coordination. Gentle core and strength moves make you feel stronger and more stable while reducing pain and stiffness. Equipment can be used but is not necessary for most moves. No swimming required. Water shoes are encouraged for safety.
