Monica Gillespie
I was always very active in sports throughout childhood, teen years, and young adulthood. Through my thirties I gradually inched up on the scales as the duties of life took priority. After the birth of my youngest, the Monday after Mothers' Day, I decided to call a gym and call a trainer. I spent the next year working out in bootcamps and on my own in the gym. I lost a total of 60 pounds. Over the next few years, that gym closed. I switched to Full Contact Fitness Center and also began running. I have completed countless 5ks, 10ks, a 15k, several mini triathlons, 5 half marathons and two marathons. About the time of my second marathon training, I also began training with Sauer Thai Boxing Academy. I was certified as a cardio kickboxing instructor. I am group fitness certified as well. I was also asked to teach aqua fitness classes. With four years experience teaching Aqua classes as well as kickboxing, I have grown to love helping my clients reach their goals. I personally enjoy Olympic lifting and Powerlifting. I also enjoy cycling and paddleboarding. I continue to workout four to five days a week to reach my own personal goals. Train for life!
